Music sends a message that is easy to understand. We decided to create this DVD to convey a message from the people of developing countries and use the profits from the project to construct education and welfare institutions for them.

We used the song '"Resamm Phiriry" as a base to create unusual world music.

Beautiful scenery, and images that make you think, for people who have been to Nepal and those who haven't. This DVD contains music and visuals that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

'Resamm Phiriry' is a poplular song that everyone in Nepal knows.
A performance of over 18 minutes of mixed Asian, ethnic, folklore, and rock, arranged in the style of traditional Nepalese music by a variety of musicians using all kinds of unique instruments from around the world. Sung in interwoven Japanese, English and Nepalese we have created a happy song to uplift your spirits..

The group was formed by friends who have an interest in Nepal and we got together to produce the DVD "Resamm Phiriry." Each member helped to produce images, music and graphic design to help children in need, and used their unique talent and know how to help with the creation of this DVD.

 

Construction of schools and welfare institutions

 

Buddha Primary and Secondary School completed in 4/2003

This school was built in the Himalayan mountain village Philim by the Japanese NGO Asian Architecture Friendship (AAF) and currently 200 children study here. Members of the RESAMM PHIRIRY Production Commission are members of AAF, and are doing extensive cooperation with this project.

AAF (Asian Architecture Friendship)

AAF was formed in 1999 and is a volunteer group consisting mainly Japanese architects. Presently in Philim village they are planning the construction of a dormitory for students to be built next to the Buddha Primary and Secondary School. In addition, in the village of Pokara, AAF is participating in the construction management for a women's dormitory in cooperation with “Japan Nepalese Women's Education Association”.

Cooperation between the creators and Nepal

The song RESAMM PHIRIRY was written and recorded by the Nepalese musician Buddhi Polia. The recording and production of the DVD was done with the cooperation and approval of Buddhi Polia's family and Sachida Nand's recording company SAC MUSIC INTERNATIONAL (Katmandu, Nepal). All profits made by SAC from this project will also be used in Nepal by our commission for construction funds.
